Facial sweat is a common issue seen by women and men of all ages. Facial sweat can be embarrassing, uncomfortable and sometimes even painful if you already have skin issues. Facial sweat can also affect the confidence levels of the sufferer.
Like any other body part, facial skin has sebaceous glands that produce sweat in order to cool down the skin when it gets warmer. This is one of the most common causes of sweating.
Excessive facial sweats are generally caused by one of the following reasons:

To do this, the brain sends a signal to the facial sweat glands (located in the face) telling them to start secreting fluids that evaporate into the air and reduce body heat. This process is also known as the eccrine sweat response.

- Mix lavender oil with water and apply it to your face before going to bed.
- Wash your face at least twice a day to get rid of bacteria and dead skin cells.
- Always use plain, unscented face powder to help absorb moisture.
- Avoid eating spicy foods and caffeine as they can increase sweating.
- Avoid stepping out during the peak sun hours.
- Stay hydrated and wear breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics.
- Eat smaller and more frequent meals to help regulate digestion.
- Avoid working out before work or other social activities because sweating may continue for some time after exercise.
OTC antiperspirants containing aluminium chloride may help with facial sweat and botox injections can be used to decrease the activity of nerves affecting the sweat glands.
Oral medications include anticholinergics that help in decreasing sweat over the entire body. They may have some side effects like constipation, dizziness and dry mouth.
Other oral medications like beta-blockers and benzodiazepines may be able to block the physical signs of anxiety, like sweating.

Sweating is one of the crucial functions that help to regulate body temperature that is produced by different parts like muscle, heart and lungs.
