Banana peel

Banana peel can fight acne and acne pigmentation. Rich with potassium and antioxidants, banana peel helps in decreasing swelling, redness, and irritation on the skin. Rubbing banana peel against the skin can help in getting rid of acne and red spots.

Use the peel of a ripe banana with fewer black spots and rub the inner surface of the peel on the skin where red spots are present for 5-10 minutes. Leave it for 15-20 minutes. Wipe off the residue with a damp cloth or wipes and rinse it. Use banana peel massage at least twice to get rid of red spots.

Lemon juice

The citric acid in lemon juice is an astringent and balances pH. It contains antioxidants and is an excellent bleaching agent. Thus it not only protects cells but also lightens them. 

Use a cotton swab or cotton ball and dip it in lemon juice. Dab the cotton ball on the skin where red spots are present and let it dry. Wash it with cold after, after it dries. Moisturize the skin using a soothing and lightweight cream.

Cocoa butter 

Cocoa butter contains phytochemicals that help in reducing inflammation and decrease red spots. Cocoa butter also contains antioxidants to prevent cell damage from free radicals.

Melt cocoa butter on low heat and massage it on the affected area when the oil is lukewarm. Leave it overnight and wash it with warm water the next day. 

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is an all-in-one solution for all your skin problems. Be it dandruff, dryness, pigmentation, rashes, or any other fungal issues. Coconut oil soothes skin, calms down the itchiness, and reduces redness. It also moisturizes dry skin, prevents infection. It has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties and treats several skin conditions like dermatitis, eczema, etc.

Using coconut oil on the skin can help you to get rid of red spots over time. Use an extra virgin coconut oil to massage your skin with fingertips in circular motions until the oil gets absorbed. Apply coconut oil every night on the required area, and wash it with cold water the following day.

Aloe vera

A natural soothing agent and moisturizer, aloe vera is known to have several benefits for skin, hair, and overall general health. Aloe vera is used to treat heat boils, skin irritation, red spots, and dry skin. Aloe vera has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory properties that help treat inflammation reactions and other skin problems.  To use aloe vera for treating red spots, scrape out the gel from the aloe vera plant. Massage the gel on the skin with red spots, leave it to dry for 20 minutes and rinse it with cold water.

Alternatively, you can also make a face mask by mixing aloe vera gel and cucumber juice.

Apple cider vinegar

It is loaded with citric acid, malic acid, amino acid, and apple cider vinegar has multiple benefits. When it comes to skin problems, apple cider vinegar is used to treat pimple marks, soothes skin, heals sun burns, and balances skin pH. It is also effective in exfoliating dead skin cells.

Dilute a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with four tablespoons of water and add a few drops of essential oil of your choice. Mix the mixture well and dip a cotton pad in it. Apply a cotton pad to the affected area and leave it for a few minutes till it dries. Rinse with cold water. You can do this twice a day to see significant results.

Yogurt

Yogurt is loaded with enzymes and bacteria, which brightens skin. Yogurt is known to soothe skin and reduce inflammation.

To reduce red spots, rub a little yogurt on the red spots area and let it dry. Gently rinse it using a mild cleanser.
