STDs is an abbreviation for Sexually Transmitted Diseases. The same diseases can be considered as Sexually Transmitted Infections which are abbreviated as STIs. STDs or STIs are diseases or infections transmitted through sexual contact, developed by shared bacteria, viruses, or parasites.

Can kissing cause HIV?

The kissing cannot transmit HIV as the evidence proves that the HIV could only spread through the exchange of bodily fluids such as blood, semen, and vaginal fluids, but not saliva.

Anyway, Oral Sex could cause HIV transmission.

If the kissing goes wild, there could be chances for one person to bite another person. If the same wilder kiss gets involved in lip locks, there are chances for the dominating person biting another person's lips and tongue that could result in bleeding and further development into infections.

Thus kisses are known to cause mouth cavities and ulcers, sometimes.
